Finally the team managed to Participate in Race of the Minutemen. I have always had big expectations for Olufsen in this tour, but I had to lower my expectations to his performance, since the new race engine doesn’t exactly benefit him. Despite that I activated his Top form and prayed that he would still do well. He did a terrific job at the most important stages. After a second and a third in the two climbing stages and a decent ITT, Olufsen was 1st in both the YC and GC.
Left was the climbing ITT, which is perfectly suited for olufsen, and sprinting stage, that wouldn’t seem to cause any trouble in the GC.
So at that point I must admit that I had already started celebrating a bit. The tour had ben way beyond my expectations so far, but the disappointment was yet to come…
I was very confident that olufsen would win the climbing ITT, but when I last night opened OCM and looked at the race report; the reality was another. “Henning Olufsen had an off day. Henning Olufsen rode the race in top form. Henning Olufsen suffered from a crash that influenced his performance the rest of the race.” That’s the probably the worst race report I’ve ever had, and then with the worst possible timing. Olufsen ended as number 48 on the stage, and at the same time he lost the GC and dropped down to number 3.
Right now I am still kind of bitter, but despite from stage 5, I must say that I am satisfied with the result of the tour, 2 top 3 results on stages, the YC jersey and reach the podium in the GC.

5 is tough because races fill up 5 or 6 days out. Not fun imo. If I can't squeeze training in between races, it significantly delays my progress.
Right now there is an awfull lot of Dh races in div 4. But there is a lack of Hl races for samper. He might be better suited in div 5 or 3.
Yeah I insist on training all my riders rather than buying teammates, so it's an uphill battle. Hopefully I can stay in D4 where there are more DH races.
I Think samper and garcia Are great riders, you just need some better teammates around Them
Just getting back into the Tour would be a big success for me. When I left the game, my assets got a lot older, and despite big talents in Samper and Garcia, it has been tough to get back comfortable unto the D3/D4 range.
Maybe you Are right, i had an awfull Day with Olufsen on the tt with crash, mechanical issue and an OFF Day. So i finished 47th or something. Lost over a minute
Instead, it seems like the top 20 has only a tiny time gap, which means outside the top 20 you get excessively punished. The winner doesn't benefit much over 2nd, and the losers get screwed. Oh well. I guess we all have to aim for top 20 lol
After I won the competition for naming and designing the Tour, my first impression in riding it was that the uphill TT time gaps were broken. I'm not sure if it is still exactly the same way or if anything has changed. I wanted the 1st few riders close together then like 5-10 sec stagger between each other rider..
i hope so manisaspor, the 3 races i have signed up for is very well suited for him, especially the ITT.
A nice rider he can also do well in Division 3.
Olufsen was unlucky but I'm sure he'll be back
haha yes indeed, we will be back
I know how that feels like, my leader had 3 off days and a fall so he only finished 9th. Lets hope for better luck next season.
